The National Multicultural Festival (aka Beer and Meat on a Stick Festival, or Feastival) is an annual event in Canberra to celebrate Australia’s multicultural society. It’s a chance for people to experience the food, drink, music and performances that the cultures that are represented in Australia’s society.
Unfortunately for me I’m gluten-intolerant, so I did not do any sampling of the food :-(, I still go along to see the performances and enjoy the atmosphere.

Oooh! You’re in Canberra too? Hurrah! Would you believe that, despite being born and bred in Canebrra, I’ve never been to the Multicultural Festival? Thanks for the glimpse 🙂
Yeah I’m not a native but I’ve lived here for a few years now. I hear that a lot of the natives don’t attend many of the cultural events here in Canberra.
I mainly go to Multicultural Festival for the atmosphere and to take photos: I don’t go for the food as I’m gluten intolerant.
